Useful Arizona Pool Table Accessories You Didn’t Know You Needed
When you find something you didn’t know existed, you usually say to yourself, “I didn’t know I needed that!” We have some useful arizona pool table accessories at our store today that may have you saying the same thing. Best of all, these items will help to improve your game while also being very affordable.
If you’ve ever played pool, you know that learning how to aim is the most important part of the game. Have you heard of a Billiard BAT? If you’re an amateur pool player, or want to teach anyone how to play billiards in arizona, you need a visual guide on how much of the ball behind the cue (the ghost ball) is being cut. The Billiard BAT Aim Trainer allows you to “see right through the cue ball,” kind of like how a bat is able to see in the night. If you’ve been shooting in the dark, use the more than 40 pages of instruction from the user manual to gain your knowledge. Billiard BAT also comes with a protective shell-case that you can clip to your custom pool cue case. Purchasing either the Aramith Jim Rempe Training Ball or the EZ Shot Pool Ball Trainer will round out the package, helping you and your friends play a better game of billiards in phoenix.
Some of our other fun arizona pool table balls include the Aramith Super Pro Cue, the Aramith Red Circle Cue, the Aramith Magnetic Cue, the Outlaw Cue, the Scorpion Cue, the Aramith Black Cue, the Aramith Shark 8 Ball, the Aramith 007 Golden 8 Ball, the Aramith Snake Skin 9 Ball, the Aramith Leopard Print 9 Ball, and any Aramith or standard replacement balls.
Do you have a favorite brand of chalk you like to use? There’s several ways you can carry your own personal chalk when you’re over at the phoenix billiards club or down at your friend’s house playing pool. If you like the idea of carrying it in your pocket, try the Pocket Chalk Holder. It fits easily in your pocket, so you don’t need a clip or a magnet. Or you can choose a magnetic Chalk Holder and carry it with you on your belt. You have your choice from many different colors in either of these chalk-carrying styles.
Since you’re out and about playing billiards in arizona, you’ll need a portable Cue Claw. Don’t risk placing your custom pool cue against a wall where it can easily fall and get damaged. It’s so small you can carry it in your custom pool cue case. Simply place the Cue Claw on any table and your investment is protected.
If your hands are rough from work, or sweaty from the heat, wear one of our Cue Gloves and experience a smooth stroke each and every time. The glove is made with spandex, so it will form to either your right or left hand.
The unique Bowtie 3-in-1 Tip Tool is a perfect tool for any phoenix billiards player, regardless of skill level. This handy tip tool includes a shaper, scuffer, and tip pick, and it fits right in your pocket or in a corner of your custom pool cue case.
Whatever your need, we have all your arizona pool table accessories at our store. We’ll have the popcorn ready when you are.

How To Choose Quality Billiards in Phoenix
When you’re purchasing a new billiards table, you want to make sure it’s of high quality. Just because it has intricate carving doesn’t mean it has solid construction. The following tips will help ensure you find the best quality billiards. In phoenix, you have many tables to choose from, so the following tips should make your buying decision easier.
The very first thing is to make sure your table is made in the US, not an overseas manufacturer. Overseas manufacturers have to be concerned with the cost of shipping and the size of their shipping containers. Therefore, they manufacture and ship in the smallest pieces possible. Consequently, those tables need a lot of screws in order to hold the table together, which will detract from the table’s longevity. An overseas manufacturer may use finishing chemicals that are banned in the US. Not only will a poor-quality finish scratch and chip over time, it may contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment. So ask if the phoenix billiards table was made right here in the US (bonus – that’s good for our economy!). Also ask if the table has a lifetime warranty. Only a high-quality manufacturer will be able to offer such a guarantee. After all, you’ll want to pass down your billiards table to future generations.
There are other important construction questions to ask about the billiards – in phoenix or anywhere else. Are the legs and rails made from solid hardwood? Was the hardwood kiln dried? Is the playing field made of slate? Was the slate diamond honed? Is the table cover made from a worsted wool and nylon blend (any polyester might signal a manufacturer who cuts corners)? Are the cushions made from K-66 rubber (this is the only rubber approved by the Billiards Congress of America (BCA))? Is the finish on the frame as smooth as glass? Are the pockets made of leather? If you answered no to any of these questions, that billiards table is not high quality. Look underneath the table – you should find little, if any, metal hardware. Finally, lean against the table. It should be rock steady; any shifting would be a bad sign.
Repeatedly roll a ball on the surface of the table. Is it quiet? Do the balls have consistent speed? How’s the rebound? Then hit a few balls. Each billiards table is different – they each have their own personality (kind of like women). When you find the right one, you’ll know it.

How Do You Protect A Pool Table In Arizona Weather?
In Arizona, you need to be concerned with protecting your valued pieces of furniture from damaging dryness, heat and sunlight. These conditions dramatically lessen the lifetime of any possession. Adhering to the following tips will help you to protect your pool table, arizona weather included, ensuring its useful lifetime. After all, you may want to pass this fun piece of furniture on to your kids and grandkids.
To protect your pool table from dryness, you can install a central humidifier or place a few portable humidifiers strategically around the house. This will protect not only your furniture, but your flooring as well (not to mention your skin!). Although most of Arizona’s heating and cooling vents are located near the ceiling, don’t place your phoenix pool tables near direct sources of heating and air conditioning. This can dry out the wood and joints, which will consequently squeak and crack. If you own a misting fan, don’t point it towards the pool table or any other piece of upholstered furniture, as it will damage the wood, fabric and leather.
Although we want your kids to play with the pool table, we don’t want your kids to play on the pool table. Not only is this potentially dangerous, but this piece of equipment might not stand up well against dirty shoes or jumping up and down. The same can be said for cats and other pets that carry goodness knows what on their paws. Also avoid sitting on your pool table; the jumping on and off could affect its level.
The sunlight will perhaps cause the most damage to your pool table in arizona. Sunlight will eventually fade the color of anything it shines on. The sunshine will also damage any leather pockets on the table. Having tinted windows helps, but it still allows 30% of the sun’s ultraviolet rays to enter into a room. Therefore, close curtains or blinds to prevent the sun from shining directly on the table. You may want to consider having the fabric of your pool table sprayed with a protector. In case some type of cool beverage should spill on your table, blot up the liquid immediately with a clean, dry, absorbent cloth. Do not rub the spill, as this may damage the table’s fabric. Also be cautious that the cloth is colorfast; otherwise, the color of the cloth could bleed onto the table’s fabric. If the spill leaves a stain, consult the manufacturer’s recommendations, or have a professional take care of it.
If you have wood floors, you will want to protect them by placing rubber or felt pads underneath the table’s legs. Of course, a large area rug will also do the trick. Finally, follow the manufacturer’s directions for routine care and cleaning, being careful that your dusting rag doesn’t rub against the perimeter of the fabric cover. This type of abuse, repeated over and over during regular cleanings, will undoubtedly cause marking and/or damage.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Adhering to these tips will keep your pool table in arizona in top condition. This will ensure a lifetime of many happy family memories of games played on your beautiful new pool table.

Billiards In Arizona: A Necessary Part Of The Man Cave!
Watch any episode on HGTV and what’s the second thing that every man says they need in their man cave (because the first thing is guaranteed to be a big-screen television!), and they’ll say billiards. In arizona it will be the focal point of your man cave. Proudly display your new table underneath your light fixture featuring your favorite sports team logo, right next to your wet bar, and across from your poker/game table. Your man cave will be the neighborhood hub of male bonding. Friends will come over who you’d forgotten you even knew. And your wife will be happy having you home, save and secure, hibernating every evening and weekend.
But which billiards table do you choose? Olhausen Billiard Manufacturing, Inc., a US manufacturer of high quality billiards tables, was started by two brothers, whose father had taught them how to recover pool tables. In 1973, for $1000 and a loan on the inventory, Butch and Don bought a table-making business that was only manufacturing 35 tables a year. In two year’s time, they built and sold 300 tables. Their business has multiplied over time, and they now sell 30,000 a year. With a 100-fold increase in sales, they must be doing a lot of things right! Olhausen makes several models suitable for billiards in arizona. Their Tournament Series Tables includes the Grand Champion, the Grand Champion 2, the Grand Champion 3, the Champion Pro, the Champion Pro 2 and the Champion Pro 3 models, which are all emblazoned with the Olhausen logo. If you’re a beer connoisseur, perhaps you’ll enjoy any of the Olhausen Budweiser Series Tables, comprised of the Budweiser Maple, Budweiser Logo and the Budweiser Select models. Maybe you’re a motorcyclist who likes the wind in you hair. Then you might prefer the Olhausen Harley Davidson Series Tables instead. Choose from the Harley Davidson Logo, Harley Davidson Midnight Chrome, and the Harley Davidson Select. Or if you enjoy the farm life, there’s the John Deere Logo table, the only one so far in the Olhausen John Deere Series Table line.
Another high-quality manufacturer is Legacy Billiards, a rather new addition to the billiard manufacturing scene. They are a division of the furniture manufacturer Exact Commerce USA, Inc. Before starting Legacy Billiards 20 years ago, Exact was the largest supplier of billiard components, supplying many of the billiard manufacturers in the US with most of the components that are used in a billiards table. Legacy Billiards has become the fastest-growing brand in billiards because their tables are hand crafted and durable, as well as affordable. One of their models, called the Destroyer, would be a great pool table in arizona. And not just because the name’s intimidating!
Even if you don’t have a man cave, you can easily talk your wife into okaying a pool table purchase. Just tell her you’ll put a cover on it a couple of times a year, and she’s got a new buffet table for entertaining!

Pool Tables Arizona
If you have questions about pool tables in Arizona and how the heat and dry climate affect them, let’s talk about how to protect your arizona pool table here. You might be surprised to learn that Arizona’s dry climate can help extend the life of your pool table. Normally, we’re used to the sun killing everything in sight, baking it dry of all its moisture, and ruining our cars, houses, and everything in between.
Well, with pool tables, Arizona climate’s dryness stops any rotting that may occur with a lot of moisture like you’d get in more temperate climates. As long as you don’t keep your billards table outside or even worse, outside in the direct sun, you won’t have to worry about bleaching the fabric or having the table cycle between extreme temperatures, which will cause the table’s wood to warp.
If you do leave your billiards table outside or in the sun, it will certainly bleach itself within 2-3 months, and when the monsoon season comes, you’ll get moisture that will get inside your pool table and warp it to all hell. Unfortunately, covering your pool table in Arizona will worsen the effects of any moisture that happen to get trapped under the pool table cover, ensuring that the table will be ruined. If you absolutely have no other place to put your table other than outside, it is best to cover the table, but whenever the humidity goes up or it rains, you must uncover the table at your earliest opportunity to let it dry out.
The best place to have your pool table is inside a building, under a constant source of air conditioning (which helps keep the air dry), and NOT under an evaporative cooler (which HUMIDIFIES THE AIR). If you think about humidity being the greatest enemy of a pool table, then think about the effects of spilled beer, other drinks, evaporative coolers, leaks, and general humid room conditions on your beloved table. Watch out and keep your investment safe!
